At the beachside end of the complex, there are 4 stories with 11 diamond-shaped condominiums with expanded covered private lanais overlooking the oceanfront swimming pool. The remaining 29 units within 3 floors run the length of the project and ocean views can be seen from the top floor.
Located on the white sands of Keawakapu Beach in South Kihei, the Hale Hui Kai condos offer unobstructed views of breaching Humpback whales, Maui sunsets, and the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe. With the coral reef to the north, Keawakapu Beach has great snorkeling with many different varieties of sea life.
Located next door to the Hale Hui Kai community is one of Maui's finest Italian restaurants, Sorrento's, and across the street are the Maui Hill condominiums, another popular vacation resort. Walk a little further north along the beach and you will find Zack's Deli, Five Palms Beach Grill, a gift shop, and an ocean activity booth at the Mana Kai Maui condominiums. Pets are not permitted, but both long-term rentals and short-term vacation rentals are allowed.

The law allows just one (1) home exemption; if a husband and wife live apart and own separate homes, they shall be entitled to one exemption, to be apportioned between each of their homes in proportion to the value.
In order to qualify for a home exemption, you must own and occupy the property as your principal residence with the intent to reside there a minimum of 270 days in a calendar year.
The home exemption is deducted from the assessed value and the homeowner is taxed on the balance. Current home exemption of $200,000 applies to all homeowners regardless of age.
